"Comfortable, well equipped farmhouse accommodation"

"What a pleasure to find well priced self catering accommodation that exceeds your expectations! This cottage is an old farmhouse on the edge of town and provides spacious accommodation for six people (with two of the bedroom having en suite bathrooms). The real drawcard is the huge farm kitchen, which is a convivial space with an enormous table to gather around. It is a rare pleasure to find a kitchenso excellently equipped with everything that you are likely to need and if you're on a road trip, it isparticularly welcome to find a large fridge that will accommodate all your provisions and allow you to refreeze all your cool blocks (as well as a chest freezer). The kitchen looks out onto a picturesque vineyard with a braai and outdoor seating area.My only caution is that you leave yourself enough time to get to Prince Albert if you're travelling from the south. It is very easy to underestimate travel times in this part of the world, and you don't want to find yourself traversing the glorious but precarious Swartberg Pass in the dark. If you find yourself running out of time, rather take the longer (but safer and ultimately quicker) route via Meiringspoort. Also bear in mind that at the time of writing (April 2016), shopping facilities in Prince Albert are limited, so rather come with the groceries you require."

"It was a most disapointing experience from when we arrived at a scruffy overgrown car port. The whole place is outdated, shabby and uncared for. The front door gets stuck when locked, it took us 5 minutes to open when we got back after being out. Our bathroom had no door and no towel rails and nowhere to hang wet towels The sheets looked like they had not been changed, there were thorns all over the carpet, cockroaches in the kitchen and spiders in the bedrooms. We also got bitten by fleas - there were 8 cats begging round the braai and outside the doors. On the plus side the towels were fluffy and the beds comfortable. The owners were away and no one greeted us even when there were people around and saw us leaving. We will NOT be going back. Definitely way below the standard of other places we have stayed in Prince Albert."

"We had a wonderful stay. We loved the cottage, the beds were comfy and the cottage shady, cool and peaceful. We would certainly return."

"We were pleasantly surprised by having had our own choice of the bedrooms and having had the whole home to ourselves. The tin of homemade rusks was another plus at making us feel at home on the winefarm with the beautiful vines and patio outside. We would have loved to stay a whole week but had to move on.Thank youErich and Yvonne Nuss and Tony and Jeria Nunes"

"What a wonderful stay we had. We lay under the lovely trees on the green grass overlooking the beautiful vineyards and the mountains in the distance. The rooms were beautiful and the self catering kitchen had everything we needed. Definitely will stay there again, one night in Prince Albert is too little to experience all this town has to offer."
"Lovely house and friendly owner"

"This is a really nice house (bigger than a cottage) with three well-furnished double bedrooms, nice kitchen and stoep with a braai. Warm hospitality from the owners. And very peaceful and quiet. Also some friendly cats."
