"Construction next door does disturb your mornings. Especially the ground shaking drilling. But if you plan on getting an early start I should bother you. Fresh fresh fish on the braai awesome. Bought a few fresh off the boats."

"Difficult Steep Access"
16 Nov 2015
Lee, South Africa
"We only stayed for 1 of the the 5 days we had paid for. I had emailed the owner inquiring about access to the place as our large dogs cannot manage steep steps. I was NOT informed there are about 30 extremely steep steps up to the place which were lethal when wet. Anyone with heart or joint conditions would also have difficulty..This is a poor photo of the place as the main attraction is the stunning view from the deck.We were very disappointed that we had to waste time finding somewhere else to stay as well as losing money as we would not have booked here had we been properly informed .Establishments Response:I am very sorry that you feel you had a bad experience with Harbour Cottage. We did communicate per e-mail and your questions on dogs being able to cope with the steps, I did confirm that they will easily go up and down. I have had many visitors with dogs, small, old and and large (although never as big as yours).Never ever did I have any complains, but I respect your review and feelings. Regarding the 30 steps, they were designed with flat walk ways between the 3 set of steps and no tiles to prevent possible slips. Handrails are also present to make it easier to reach the Cottage. If I receive an enquiry about the steps regarding guests of age, I immediately explain and also send photos. I did ask you if I need to send through photos, you did not request any.You arrived the Saturday, and on the Monday morning you only sent a sms to inform me that you have already left the Cottage. If you were not satisfied with your accommodation, I would have gladly found you other accommodation. On losing money, I am also very sorry about that, but I provide accommodation for human beings and permitting guests to bring their pets, I see it as a bonus. My main objective is satisfying my guestss needs and not that of their pets.Still Bay greetings.Tine-Mari"
"What a great place"

Alan, South Africa
"We had a wonderful 2 days there. Tini-Mari is a supper, friendly person who welcomes you with a smile and ensures you have everything you need. The cottage is well equipped with a practical lounge/kitchen, comfortable beds and great out door furniture on a fabulous deck overlooking the harbour. There is a very good sea food restaurant in walking distance from the cottage in the harbour area. Watch the fishing boats launch and return with their catch from the cottage deck then go down and buy fish fresher than fresh. We can't recommend this place enough and we will certainly be back."
