"Amazing and Relaxing"

"What an amazing place to relax. The cottage was very clean and the kitchen fully equipped with easy to use modern appliances. It was warm and snug with the two fireplaces. Even our four legged family were looked after with raised beds and bowls provided! Although we went for "time-out" we were pleasantly surprised with reliable internet. Walking through the lavender field and vineyards we experienced amazing sunsets over the mountains. We will definitely be back"
"I would not stay here again"

"My wife and I stayed here for the long weekend in June and although the house was absolutely neat and clean, we did have some issues with the stay. The first night we had some friends join us for a dinner which we prepared there. The gas stove tops worked a treat but when we needed it, we found the oven would just not switch on. Between 3 technical savvy guys and 2 ladies who know ovens and stoves, none of us could get the oven to work.Just after we arrived, we tried to connect to the wifi without success and we tried every possible option to connect over the course of the long weekend - all without success. Both my wife and I still had online work to do and we had to use up a lot of our personal data at our own cost for this. It's unacceptable to advertise wifi if you don't ensure that its working and available for the guests.Lastly, as much as the house was spotlessly clean, it was also freezing cold. Even with the heaters and fireplaces on as much as possible, it felt like we were staying in a fridge. Most unpleasant. The location is also not really Stellenbosch, but far closer to Kuilsriver. Stellenbosch is almost 20kms away from the cottage. On the plus side: The Amani wines are really good. Just sad the cellar was not open for wine tastings.Overall, I would say that this venue should charge massively reduced rates in winter"
