Overview
Florence Farm is an active working farm situated in the heart of the beautiful East Griqualand area. The farm offers panoramic views of the Drakensberg, as well as wide open spaces and peaceful surroundings which epitomise this simple but sweet spot. If you love the outdoors and horse riding, then this is the ideal place for you.

Florence Farm deals mainly with beef, dairy, sheep and maize productions and guests are welcome to join in on the farming activities, including stock-checking on horseback, sheep shearing, feeding, dipping and hay-making and more. There are also plenty of delightful picnic spots around the farm, near the dams and under the shade of the trees.

We offer reasonably priced and varying lengths of horse riding trails for all types of riders. The horses on our farm are ex-polo ponies and are therefore friendly, well-controlled, responsive, and obedient. Riding helmets, saddles and all tack are provided.

Florence Farm offers accommodation in two self-catering units, each featuring one bedroom with a double bed, an en-suite bathroom and a kitchenette. One of the units features a bath whilst the other features a shower.

"Once introduced to our hosts, Owen and Hendy, we felt right at home. The cottage was comfortable and warm in die winter cold. If you are a typical city slicker, make an effort and come experience farm life. You will be changed. Plenty activities for children in a safe environment."
